Dr. Michael Glynn, LCSW

Hey there!

I’m Michael Glynn, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy for adults across Louisiana.

I specialize in working with healthcare professionals, LGBTQ+ individuals, men, and high-achieving adults navigating anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, and the pressure of constantly needing to hold everything together.

Many of the clients I work with are deeply capable and dependable people who are used to being the support system for others. While they may appear successful on the outside, internally they often feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in a constant cycle of stress and overthinking.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to create a space where clients can step out of “performance mode,” speak honestly, and better understand themselves without fear of judgment. Therapy is not about having all the answers… it is about building insight, emotional resilience, and more sustainable ways of navigating life, work, and relationships.

I also have a strong passion for LGBTQ+ affirming care and understand the unique emotional and systemic stressors that can come with identity, stigma, and feeling unseen or misunderstood. My goal is to provide therapy that feels genuine, affirming, and deeply human.

Before entering private practice, I worked extensively in behavioral health and healthcare settings supporting individuals with complex mental health and substance use concerns.

My goal in therapy is to help clients move beyond survival mode and toward lives that feel more grounded, connected, and emotionally present.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, exploring the city of New Orleans, and finding meaningful ways to recharge outside of professional responsibilities.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially for people who are used to carrying so much on their own. You do not have to navigate that alone.
